Practice: twelve questions at your pace
Practice is unscored and has no answer deadline. The game considers earlier answers, mistakes, and time since practice when selecting questions. It mixes new and familiar facts. You do not select a specific table.
With hints enabled, the answer starts appearing faintly after five seconds and gradually fades in. Toggle hints during practice or in settings. A correct answer after help appeared counts as assisted, even if you subsequently switch hints off.
Jolt Run: three lives and faster answers
Each correct answer earns 100–500 points. Points decrease over the first five seconds, then stay at 100. You have 15 seconds in total for a question. A wrong answer or timeout costs one life. The run ends after three lives are lost.
Correct answers within three seconds build a fast streak. The first combo takes five fast answers, the next takes seven more, and the next nine more. Bonuses start at 500, then 1,000 and 1,500 points and continue increasing. A slow answer or mistake breaks the streak. Difficulty increases every five correct answers, independently of your practice history.
Jolt Run keeps counting time while the end-session dialog is open. Choose Practice when you want to take your time. Only completed runs enter the records.
What does the progress grid show?
The grid covers tables 1–12. Mirrored facts such as 7 × 8 and 8 × 7 share progress. Correct assisted answers have a different mark from independent answers. Fluency combines several unaided answers, accuracy, speed, and recency. It is a game indicator, not an assessment of everything you know about mathematics.
